Dr. Jampolsky believes there is another way of looking at life that makes it possible for us to walk through this world in love, at peace and without fear. This other way requires no external battles, but only that we heal ourselves. It is a process he calls “attitudinal healing,” because it is an internal and primarily mental process. Jampolsky believes that attitudinal healing, when properly practiced, will allow anyone, regardless of her circumstances, to begin experiencing the joy and harmony that each moment holds, and to start her journey on a path of love and hope. The mind can be retrained. Within this fact lies our freedom. Our attitudes determine whether we experience peace or fear, whether we are well or sick, free or imprisoned. Love, in its true meaning, is the attitude that this book is about. Love is total acceptance and total giving—with no boundaries and no exceptions. Love, being the only reality, cannot be transformed. It can only extend and expand. It unfolds endlessly and beautifully upon itself. Love sees everyone as blameless, for it recognizes the light within each one of us is. Love is the total absence of fear and the basis for all attitudinal healing. The principles of attitudinal healing have been expanded since Teach Only Love was first published in 1983. There are now twelve principles, which are used in the 150 Centers for Attitudinal Healing around the world. Dr. Jampolsky believes that these principles have a universal appeal that crosses cultural and religious barriers. He has repeatedly seen how people’s lives have transformed when these principles became their heartbeat and their way of communicating with others.

The Masses Are The Ruling Classes

Author : William Epstein
ISBN : 9780190467074
Genre : Social Science
File Size : 54.2 MB
Format : PDF
Download : 409
Read : 1027

The Masses are the Ruling Classes proposes the radical, yet seemingly innocuous view that social policy in the United States is determined by mass consent. Contemporary explanations of decision making in the US typically attribute power over policy making to a variety of hidden forces and illegitimate elites holding the masses innocent of their own problems. Yet the enormous openness of the society and near-universal suffrage sustain democratic consent as more plausible than the alternatives -- conspiracy, propaganda, usurpation, autonomous government, and imperfect pluralism. Contrary to prevailing explanations, government is not either autonomous or out of control, business and wealthy individuals have not usurped control of the nation, large segments of the population are not dispossessed of the vote or of a voice in public affairs, and the media has not formed a conspiracy with Hollywood and liberals to deny Americans their God-given freedoms. Despite the multitude of problems that the nation faces, its citizens are not oppressed. In this pithy yet provocative book, Epstein argues that Democracy in the United States is not progressive but is instead populist, and that the core of the populist ideology is romantic rather than pragmatic.

Calling- an inner urging toward some profession or an activity; vocation. a. a call, summons, or impulsion to perform a certain function or enter a certain career, etc. b. the function or career toward which one believes himself to be called. Not to be defined or denied by others, only to be answered by the one called. The reason or purpose of our life, our individual existence has been pondered by man since the beginning of time, thus also the reason or understanding of one's "calling". Some of us know what our calling to be by nature of instinct, and if fortunate enough, are given the support and opportunity to grasp it. Civilizations have been created, conquered and destroyed by virtue of one's calling. Ancient and primal as man himself, untouchable, unquestionable, undeniable and unforgivable if left unanswered, a spiritual tragedy. Food for the soul, pure organic sustenance for a life of contentment. We each are born with a calling, a pre-determined purpose or destiny so to speak, for some it is unmistakable and obvious, intuition and instinct are sharp and in tuned. Others must search to understand where or how to achieve it. You may have an impulsive, mysterious hunger or yearning for a road not yet found, but instinctively felt with such passion. This road must be taken individually, honestly, courageously and with full faith of self, without regret or doubt. Certain ingredients must be gathered and incorporated into our hearts and minds before we may understand and obtain the true essence of our purpose of calling. These ingredients are already within us and can only be harvested through the struggles of spiritual growth, hence, feeding the soul. With all ingredients in proper measure, Authenticity, Struggle, Love, Instinct and Intuition, the fruits of our dreams will be enjoyed. Whether your calling is known to you or not, or you are just looking to feed an unmistakable hunger or passion and need a little help in understanding the ingredients needed to create that dream, I have prepared what I feel is a simple and pure recipe from the heart and soul that will nourish you along your very special and unique journey. I hope to serve every hungry soul that may find themselves questioning the purpose of their life or trying to understand their gifts and passions, and that they may find a little inspiration in my words to nibble on and feed their souls.
