If you do not want to enter into temptation, then watch and pray. Even though your human spirit is willing and wants to please God, yet the flesh is weak. Watch and pray, lest you will not escape what is coming upon this world. Do you notice that it is necessary and needful to both watch and pray? If you do one of them and leave the other one undone, you are still likely to enter into temptation. Therefore, to pray effectively, you need to watch and monitor your circumstances and environment. It is like in war: surveillance and information about your enemy and his plans are a major step to winning the war. The reason why many Believers do not pray effectively is because they fail to know their enemies’ strategies, or that they do not know and understand the nature of the spiritual warfare. And many Christians are careless in their lives and Christian walk.

What is in Watch and Pray: Volume 1? It critically lays out end-time baits and weapons employed by the enemy and his cohort to send millions to hell. The baits and weapons include the ever-growing Jezebel spirits, secret sins, spiritual blindness and intimidation, strongholds, prayerlessness, apostasy, and worldly desires (1 John 2:16). Today, the deception is so deep that it becomes difficult to discern the right from almost right (discernment). Satan and his demons have transformed themselves into wolves among the sheep in the church and everywhere and preying on them. Greater part of it examines spiritual weapons and strategies at believers disposal. They include spiritual weapons and strategies to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, such as prayers, quiet times with the Father, discernment, godliness, holiness, righteousness, the blood of Jesus, obedience, watchfulness, boldness, courage, and the sustainable presence of the Lord. The kingdom of darkness is getting bolder as we approach end times, so Christians must get bolder by drawing near to God in order to resist the enemy. The flight to heaven does not come cheap but requires due diligence in prayers and watchfulness (Eph. 5:1516). Readers and believers must put on the whole armor of God by crucifying the flesh and be able to come to a place where they can look to God and say And so what? to the enemy and his team. Enjoy in your suffering because it glorifies God in the end. It is my hope that everyone who reads this book will be saved and come to know him well. Could You Not Watch With Me One Hour

Author : Fr. Florian Racine

Fr. Florian Racine offers us a beautiful formation guide on Eucharistic adoration that will help us to practice it in all its depth, and with a missionary perspective. God has made himself particularly close to mankind in Jesus his Son. The redemptive Incarnation of his Son is how God reconciles mankind with himself. The memorial of the Passover of Christ is therefore at the heart of our relationship with God. In the Blessed Sacrament, the resurrected Jesus is really present and acting; he draws all mankind into his filial relationship with the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thus, following the plan of God, Catholics put the Eucharist at the heart of their lives, and take time to adore Jesus in the Holy Sacrament. The adorer wants to abide within the dynamic life of the Eucharist, just as he desires that the Eucharist transform his whole life. Adoration and Eucharistic life transform believers into the image of Christ. The author invites us on an itinerary, a journey of faith, in fifty-two stagesÑas many as the weeks in a year. He starts by showing how the Word of God is made present in the Eucharist, and then he invites us to mature in faith and to be transformed by a greater communion with Christ.

John Calvin S Commentaries On The Harmony Of The Gospels Vol 3

This is the extended and annotated edition including * an extensive biographical annotation about the author and his life Calvin produced commentaries on most of the books of the Bible. His commentaries cover the larger part of the Old Testament, and all of the new excepting Second and Third John and the Apocalypse. His commentaries and lectures stand in the front rank of Biblical interpretation. Our Author has exerted a powerful influence on all succeeding expositors. They have found their interest in listening to his instructions, and have been more deeply indebted to him than is generally known. Many valuable interpretations of passages of Scripture appeared for the first time in his writings, and have ever since been warmly approved. In other cases, the views which had been previously held are placed by him in so strong a light as to remove every doubt, and satisfy the most cautious inquiry. And yet the stores, from which so much has been drawn, are far from being exhausted, nor is their value greatly lowered by improvements which have been subsequently made. The department of History presents an analogous case. Documents which had been overlooked are carefully examined. Conflicting evidence is more accurately weighed. Important transactions assume a new aspect, or, at least, are altered in their subordinate details. Still, there are historians, in whose narrative the great lines of truth are so powerfully drawn, that the feebler, though more exact, delineations of other men cannot supply their place. In the chief moral requisite for such a work Calvin is excelled by none. He is an honest interpreter. No consideration would have induced him to wrest the words of Scripture from their plain meaning. Those who may question his conclusions cannot trace them to an unworthy motive. Timid theologians will be occasionally startled by his expositions. Though they may not absolutely impeach the soundness of his doctrine, they will tremble for the fate of some favorite theory or ingenious argument. With such minds he has no sympathy. He examines the Scriptures with the humility of one who inquires at the oracle of God, (2 Samuel 16:23,) and proclaims the reply with the faith of one who knows that the word of the Lord is tried, (Psalm 18:30.)

When we say that we are Christians, we should know that we are actually saying that we are the anointed people. It is true that the name – Christians refers to followers of Christ or those who are like Christ. But if we know that the Christ is a Greek word for the Messiah (Hebrew), and that both the Christ and the Messiah mean the Anointed One, then nobody is qualified to be called a Christian without any level of the Anointing of the Holy Spirit in or on him. The anointed is someone who has the Power and Ability of the Holy Spirit on him, because the Holy Spirit has come upon him. God anoints us with His Holy Spirit – the Oil. The Holy Spirit is not an oil, but oil is one of the things used to represent the Holy Spirit, because of His Nature and Work.

Much of today s church is powerless because it s prayerless. Prayer is the single most important ministry of the church, yet much of the church today is powerless because it is prayerless. The Lord has issued a renewed call to corporate fasting and intercessory prayer for the deliverance and healing of the nations in preparation for His return. Such a call requires: Sacrifice. Complete surrender to Christ. Dogged willingness to engage the enemy on the field of battle. Answering this call to battle is not for the faint of heart, but for those who truly want to make a difference for the Kingdom of God in their world. Jesus said to them, It is written, My house will be called a place for praying (Matthew 21:13, Great Book). Learn how you can access and demonstrate The Hidden Power of Watching and Praying.Your prayer life will never be the same as you are strengthened with the power of God as you pray.

The matrilineal Fante are members of one of the most populous ethnic groups in Ghana, the Akan. They are the dominant group in the Cape Coast area and have a long history in the region. They are Fanti speakers, but also speak the national language, which is English. This case study provides an intimate look at the Fante, who now reside in towns and villages, are predominantly Christian and earn their living primarily as traders, farmers and fishing people, but are found in all walks of life including: government officials, teachers, University professors, lawyers and doctors. The people of Akotokiyr and Abaasa and Nim want readers to know about their villages and the people associated with them because they represent a spirit and a tradition and a collaborative lifestyle that are rapidly changing. The book makes it possible for readers to become participants in the scene—be it in a home, a “palace” of a chief, a church, in the market place, or in the author’s own home—where they can see firsthand the ways in which the new is being incorporated into the old. As the Series Editor says, “the blazing sun, the airless rooms with concrete block walls with roofs of sheet iron, the dust, flies, rough streets, the verdant forest, the streams the open, running sewers, all become habitats of our minds as we read of the author's interactions with people in the small villages where she is living and working.”

Meditate on these things . . . The discipline of meditating day and night in the Book of the Lord (Joshua 1; Psalm 1) is a costly art, hard won in any age--perhaps even more so in today's stressful times of multi-tasking ministry and cut-and-paste computing. First hand-written in black-and-red notebooks from scraps of paper, using only a King James Bible and a Strong's Concordance, The House of God records the spiritual exercise of a working pastor and itinerant preacher over eighteen months, the last six spent confined to hospital with injured legs. For pastors and students of the Gospel ministry, the book furnishes a three-year course for weekly private worship, complete with original hymns, select Bible readings, and intense devotional meditations on Paul's First Epistle to Timothy. The author prayerfully aims to nourish the inner man of the heart and to encourage the practice of Scripture meditation. May it prompt King Jesus' servants to heed their life and doctrine as people of God called to the house of God, the Church of the living God, the ground and pillar of the truth.

My reason for writing this Bible study guide on prayer is to reintroduce everyone to the real basics for a successful prayer life. I want to give everyone a true sense of a relationship with a real all-powerful God. Our Savior-God wants a relationship that is totally honest concerning a Holy God and His Chosen People. Christian prayers are not being answered today for several reasons. Gods word is trying to give us a peaceful heart through our baptism by faith in Jesus Christ. Since we have been quickened or made alive with God in Christ Jesus we need to put our will worship aside and worship our savior Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:1-15 I want to let Gods Word help us rediscover our Christian prayer life. To do this, we need to re-examine our views of The Living, All Powerful God of the Universe! The best place to begin is in Matthew 6, where Jesus tries to introduce us to proper prayer life. Then, after we re-examine our Heavenly Father, I want to examine the hindrances to a successful prayer life that we commit because of our sinful daily walk, according to James 4:1-17. I want to also discuss at least 5 ways that God does answer prayer. I realize that there are many ways to examine this part of our study, but we need to be honest with ourselves. Mike

Jesus The Christ A Study Of The Messiah And His Mission According To Holy Scriptures Both Ancient And Modern

The scope of the subject presented in this work is expressed on the title page. It will be readily seen that the author has departed from the course usually followed by writers on the Life of Jesus Christ, which course, as a rule, begins with the birth of Mary's Babe and ends with the ascension of the slain and risen Lord from Olivet. The treatment embodied in these pages, in addition to the narrative of the Lord's life in the flesh comprizes the antemortal existence and activities of the world's Redeemer, the revelations and personal manifestations of the glorified and exalted Son of God during the apostolic period of old and in modern times, the assured nearness of the Lord's second advent, and predicted events beyond all so far as the Holy Scriptures make plain.
