Time and the way we use it are central to the story and cast of characters in Through My Father's Eyes. Will two weeks be enough time to influence the mind and spirit of a writer who could spend the rest of his life on San Francisco's skid row? Evan Howard is a hard-working alcoholic journalist who has destroyed every connection he has with the human race, and whose career is now collapsing. His addiction has left him deaf and blind to the reality of his family history, particularly to understanding the legacy of his deceased mother. A collision and its crippling aftermath conspire with Evan's friends to teach Evan the greatest lesson of his life. But will this give him inner peace and will he discover how to love again in the process? Time alone will tell the tale as Evan is challenged to heal and become the person others knew he could be. Author Linda Meyerholz is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida. Each character in her book is a composite of people she has known, worked with or observed during 27 years of monitoring recovery programs. She is already working on the sequel to this novel and is eager to discover how writer Evan Howard will behave as he begins life anew, this time sober. Through his compassion, He demonstrates His love towards women during difficult times in their lives. If you are still long enough, you can hear Him asking, "Who touched me?" As a single mother at age 20, life brought its challenges. Fighting to do things her way, she made decisions that compounded life even further. She was on the fast track of a downward spiral and her children were left behind. She did not know how to save them or herself. She felt emptiness in her soul! She decided to cut everything off and focus on her children. She had forgotten about calling on the most powerful name there was 'JESUS.' Now, HE has blessed her with a level of insight that can only come from HIM. S. Lynett Comer is the founder of "The Say It Sista Company. A Company set-up and designed to support women in becoming 'whole.' She is the Stewart over a newsletter sent to members of The S.I.S Company. Have you ever heard the saying, "Church folks are the worst folks?" Through a Daughter's Eyes explains this phrase well. Many have written about Billy Graham, the evangelist. This is the first book about Billy Graham, the father, written from the perspective of a son who knew him best. As a beloved evangelist and a respected man of God, Billy Graham’s stated purpose in life never wavered: to help people find a personal relationship with God through a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. This was a calling that only increased over time, and Billy embraced it fully throughout his active ministry and beyond. Yet Billy pursued his life’s work, as many men do, amid a similarly significant calling to be a loving husband and father. While most people knew Billy Graham as America’s pastor, Franklin Graham knew him in a different way, as a dad. And while present and future generations will come to their own conclusions about Billy Graham and the legacy that his commitment to Christ has left behind, no one can speak more insightfully or authoritatively on that subject than a son who grew up in the shadow of his father’s life and the examples of his father’s love. This vulnerable book is a look at both Billy Graham the evangelist and Billy Graham the father, and the impact he had on a son who walked in his father’s steps while also becoming his own man, leading ministries around the world, all of it based on the foundational lessons his father taught him. “My father left behind a testimony to God,” says Franklin, “a legacy not buried in a grave but still pointing people to a heaven-bound destiny. The Lord will say to my father, and to all who served Him obediently, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’ [Matthew 25:21].”

A child esteems and looks up to the father. This authority figure holds muc importance in the development of a youth. Children on the other hand are considered and pitied by their fathers. This dichotomy is similar in dealings of a child of God with the Heavenly Father. We love and esteem Him and He loves and pitys us. He is always trying to help us to take the best roads for our life. He always looks to find ways to help and bless. Through Daddy's Eyes looks at a father and the Father through the prism of youth and mortality, respectively. It herald these unique and personal relationships showing their precious weight in gold and beyond. It is the author's hope that every man will see how important he is in the life of some child - how he is looked to for guidance, assurance, advice and hope. When a child can see himself Through Daddy's Eyes and emerge with a smile of self-assurance, that man has accomplished much in his lifetime.

We woke up with a bowl of cereal to Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Green Jeans on the Motorola and were to bed with a transistor radio on out pillow after the Ed Sullivan Show and Gunsmoke. In between we played hop scotch, marbles and jumped roped. We roller skated- if we could find the key that helped hook them to our hard-sole shoes- on the smoothest sidewalks in the neighborhood and built tents over the family clothesline. We played hide-and-seek and kick the can, and when day turned into dusk and we'd finished with dinner, there was spotlight t reunite us for an hour or so until it was time to return home. We dove in piles of leaves in the fall, rode sleds down the biggest hill we could find in the winter, and played in the pool, lake or stream until we had only enough energy to peddle our Huffy or Schwinn home at the end of those long summer days. And if we couldn't go outside, we played Old Maid, Fish, Monopoly and Clue or put a stack of 45's on the RCA Victor in our room. Growing up in the 1960's was idyllic. For most of us any way. Some, though............
