Beard or no beard? This may seem like a trivial question but it reveals fundamental insight into the masculine mind. Beards have been worn by men since the first civilisations, and with the passing of time have become distinctive male traits that look good, add gravitas and denote a certain class. Today, the beard is an indisputable fashion accessory, essential for all well-dressed, stylish men. Being bearded is more than just having facial hair: it's an attitude, a lifestyle choice, a deliberate and well intentioned masculinity. Beautifully illustrated, lovingly composed and artfully curated, this is a delightful gift for all those who delight in the beard. Contents include: The beard boom and lifestyle; Who's who of bearded icons; The beard as a cultural and fashion statement; Indispensible advice and tips on beard care and grooming; Seasonal beard calendar and facial hair glossary.

What if messing up insanely in a video game could somehow cause serious catastrophic events on Earth? Like maybe a devastating hurricane or an airplane crash? That's what happens to eighteen-year-old Bladen, after he's chosen to play in the real-life game Arcis. At first he thinks it's cool, until his dreams become plagued by a black widow spider that begs for his help; death players want to murder life players like him on Earth, and Bladen realizes that when a level is lost, disasters can't be stopped. Bladen's life becomes more and more tormented, as he stumbles between two worlds filled with hatred, jealousy, and love, until he hits a turning point and has to decide what he wants--to continue to sacrifice in the game, even if it costs him his life, or give it all up for his first love.

Man has long searched for the cause and meaning of mental illness. This book attempts to answer those questions. The author/compiler has spent 47 years investigating these problems and his conclusion is that severe unconscious bisexual conflict and confusion lie at the root of all mental illness, as difficult to comprehend as this idea may be. The book itself consists of 639 quotations, from a variety of sources, all of which point to the unshakable truth of this hypothesis. This is a fixed law of nature, unassailable and constantly operative in every case. No other species but man is afflicted with mental illness because no other species has either the intellectual power to repress their sexual feelings nor the motivation to do so. The disease we call schizophrenia is but an arbitrary name, which is used to designate the end-stage of a process beginning with a slight neurosis. The more severe the bisexual conflict and confusion in the individual, the more severe the degree of the mental illness which is experienced. Several other investigators in the past have reached this same conclusion, but unfortunately their wisdom went largely unheeded. Hopefully this book will remedy that ill-advised neglect.

The bearded dragon got its name from the spiky flap of skin around its snout. The flap puffs up like a bristly beard when the bearded dragon feels threatened. But the bearded dragon is not nearly as ferocious as it, looks, preferring to run away rather than get into a fight. Natives of the Australian interior, these lizards are popular pets.
