Being fertile and fruitful can mean giving birth to a child -- but to have a fertile soul means to give birth to the true self a woman wants to be: to live a life filled with passion, strength, joy, and adventure. In The Way of the Fertile Soul, Dr. Randine Lewis outlines ten ancient Chinese medical and Taoist "secrets" that hold the little-known key to successfully conceiving babies, new dreams, and a fulfilling life for women at any phase in their lives. The Way of the Fertile Soul encourages women to strive toward health, abundance, and a fruitful, joyous approach to life. By using diagnostic questionnaires, qi gong exercises, and guided meditations to help the reader understand how the elements of nature express themselves in her body, mind, and spirit, The Way of the Fertile Soul provides the tools to greatly increase a woman's chance of conceiving, identify imbalances, reduce stress, increase energy, and uncover her intrinsic creativity and express it fully.

Dr. Jampolsky believes there is another way of looking at life that makes it possible for us to walk through this world in love, at peace and without fear. This other way requires no external battles, but only that we heal ourselves. It is a process he calls “attitudinal healing,” because it is an internal and primarily mental process. Jampolsky believes that attitudinal healing, when properly practiced, will allow anyone, regardless of her circumstances, to begin experiencing the joy and harmony that each moment holds, and to start her journey on a path of love and hope. The mind can be retrained. Within this fact lies our freedom. Our attitudes determine whether we experience peace or fear, whether we are well or sick, free or imprisoned. Love, in its true meaning, is the attitude that this book is about. Love is total acceptance and total giving—with no boundaries and no exceptions. Love, being the only reality, cannot be transformed. It can only extend and expand. It unfolds endlessly and beautifully upon itself. Love sees everyone as blameless, for it recognizes the light within each one of us is. Love is the total absence of fear and the basis for all attitudinal healing. The principles of attitudinal healing have been expanded since Teach Only Love was first published in 1983. There are now twelve principles, which are used in the 150 Centers for Attitudinal Healing around the world. Dr. Jampolsky believes that these principles have a universal appeal that crosses cultural and religious barriers. He has repeatedly seen how people’s lives have transformed when these principles became their heartbeat and their way of communicating with others.

In Visions of the Black Belt, Robin McDonald and Valerie Pope Burnes offer a richly illustrated tour of the Black Belt, the fertile arc that represents the cultural efflorescence of Alabama's heartland. Like knowledgeable friends, McDonald and Burnes guide readers through the Black Belt's towns and architecture and introduce the region's great panoply of citizens, farmers, craftspeople, cooks, writers, and musicians. A constellation of Black Belt towns arose during Alabama's early decades, communities like Selma, Camden, Eutaw, Tuskegee, Greenville, and many more.Visions of the Black Belt recounts their stories and others, such as Demopolis's founding by exiles from Napoleon's France. Under a stormy sky, the ruins of CahabaAlabama's lost capitalreveal the secrets of this once-thriving Black Belt town. Also on this picturesque tour are the Black Belt's homes, from artless cabins wreathed in fern to great mansions wrapped with stately columns, such as Kirkwood and Reverie. Among the emblematic houses of worship lovingly photographed in Visions of the Black Belt is Prairieville's St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, noted for its Carpenter Gothic style. Also reflecting the region's history of faith are poignant graveyards such as Greenville's Pioneer Cemetery with its homespun memorials of seashell and concrete and the elegant lichen- clad marbles of Selma's Live Oak Cemetery. In photos and text, McDonald and Burnes bring to life the layers of history that shaped the Black Belt's tastes, sounds, and colors. Their gastronomic discoveries include the picant crawfish of the Faunsdale Bar & Grill and GainesRidge Dining Club's famed Black Bottom pie. They bring the sounds of the Black Belt to life, highlighting musicians representing a range of musical traditions from Native American to blues to country to gospel and of musical events like Eutaw's Black Belt Folk Roots Festival. They also introduce writers who draw inspiration from the Black Belt and visit the studios and workshops of the artists and craftspeople who transform the raw materials of their environmentfrom wood, metal, and clay to cloth, glass, paint, and even hayinto beautiful, profound, witty, and whimsical works of art. Including two maps and more than 370 full-color photographs, Visions of the Black Belt offers a timeless message of faith, determination, and the rich simplicity of living in harmony with the rhythms of the land and nature.

In the aftermath of the waves of discipleship programs that have swept over the church in the last 30 years, clergy, and laypersons alike are more confused than ever about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. What should a disciple of Jesus look and act like today? What is the relationship between discipleship and salvation, between discipleship and sanctification, between discipleship and ministry? How were disciples of Jesus different from other disciples in the ancient world? How did the early church carry out Jesus' agenda in "making disciples of all the nations"? In Following the Master, Michael J. Wilkins addresses these and many other questions that perplex the church today- not by offering another discipleship program or manual but by presenting a comprehensive biblical theology of discipleship. Following the Master compares other forms of master-disciple relationships in existence in the ancient Judaism and Greco-Roman world, traces Jesus' steps as he called and developed disciples, and Mediterranean world as it followed Jesus' command to make disciples. Following the Master lays the groundwork necessary for developing biblical discipleship ministries in the church, on the mission field, and in parachurch ministries. It is essential reading for all pastors, students, and Christian workers.

THE BLIND SHALL SEE This adventure/fantasy is an intellectuals delight concerning a Queen of fairies and her civilization seeking aid from the village of Morbidity that has captured the picture perfect ideal of how to live with one another. The vampire Honoree, and his brood that dwells in caves is tired of feeding on animals, yet must renew every full moon with the town of Morbidity a pact that they will not feed on any villager and drink the dark water of the blood of the sacrifice of a bull to seal the agreement. War looms on the outskirts of the village, that has known only peace, for their God Noram has betrayed them and the spirit of the trees they have relied on has becomes his lover. Intellectual arguments surface between the fairy queen and the elder sanctified one as to the best way to live a moral life that is not ripe with suffering. Power and ego surface as the dragon weeps tears for his army that they not go into battle against a race of perfect men, and the dragons god Amness pleads that the two armies surrender to one another before going into battle and surprisingly, they do. What is revealed at the surrender is that in just about every little thing they hated one another for, they possessed as well. The sanctified one reveals to the fairy queen, that only through surrender can a vision be realized, can reality be accurately witnessed, but to do this thing was often quite costly.
