Why is it so difficult to change our beliefs and behaviors even when we know they no longer serve us? How can certain individuals reverse "incurable" disease while others suffer the effects of childhood wounds despite years of therapy? How is it that the centenarians make up the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population—even though the majority of people over the age of 100 rarely visit their doctors? When Dr. Mario Martinez began his career in clinical neuropsychology, he was determined to find the answers to baffling questions like these. With The MindBody Code, he shares the rewards of an investigation that has spanned generations and cultures to reveal the most effective methods for initiating deep and lasting change—and the empowering new science of biocognition that substantiates their results. Far from a quick-fix approach, The MindBody Code will challenge you to embrace a bold paradigm for health and wellbeing that requires your courage, patience, and commitment. You will not only learn the basics of this cutting-edge science, you will learn to communicate with your body in its own "biosymbolic" language to begin making changes that till this point may have been elusive at best. Through fascinating case studies and practical training in embodying the methodology, Dr. Martinez illuminates: The overt and subtle ways our cultural beliefs impact our immune system—and the pathways to healing the archetypal wounds of shame, abandonment, and betrayal How to break through the ceilings of abundance that limit prosperity and create the "subcultures of wellness" that will help you reach your full potential Lessons from the centenarians—how to transform "aging consciousness" to continually increase your value and competence as you grow older Psychospiritual conflicts—getting to the root of challenges often mistaken as psychiatric disorders Why do so many popular methods of personal transformation fail despite our efforts and intentions? Because they don't address the mindbody code—your body's "operating instructions" for interpreting your world, creating your sense of self, and defining what's really possible for you. The MindBody Code is your key to safely and successfully confront your fears, disillusionment, and learned helplessness with tools that harness the hope, joy, and unconditional love you hold within. Course objectives: Explain the overt and subtle ways our cultural beliefs impact our immune system—and the pathways to healing the archetypal wounds of shame, abandonment, and betrayal Discuss how to break through the ceilings of abundance that limit prosperity and create the "subcultures of wellness" that will help you reach your full potential Utilize lessons from the centenarians—how to transform "aging consciousness" to continually increase your value and competence as you grow older Define psychospiritual conflicts—how to get to the root of challenges often mistaken as psychiatric disorders

Bodies In Code

Bodies in Code explores how our bodies experience and adapt to digital environments. Cyberculture theorists have tended to overlook biological reality when talking about virtual reality, and Mark B. N. Hansen's book shows what they've been missing. Cyberspace is anchored in the body, he argues, and it's the body--not high-tech computer graphics--that allows a person to feel like they are really "moving" through virtual reality. Of course these virtual experiences are also profoundly affecting our very understanding of what it means to live as embodied beings. Hansen draws upon recent work in visual culture, cognitive science, and new media studies, as well as examples of computer graphics, websites, and new media art, to show how our bodies are in some ways already becoming virtual.

Unlock the key to a universal life-force in this astonishing book from the New York Times bestselling author of The Source Field Investigations and Awakening in the Dream. The Source Field Investigations was a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller that uncovered hidden science and lost prophecies to illuminate an entirely new understanding of our world today. Now, in The Synchronicity Key, David Wilcock embarks on an astonishing investigation into what lies beyond—finding proof that everything in our lives is not only connected, but it also influences everything else. Using history, astrology, and synchronicity theory among other concepts, Wilcock shows that there is hidden architecture within time, guiding individuals and nations through a system of enlightenment Joseph Campbell called the Hero’s Journey. Historical events occur in shockingly precise, repeating cycles of time as a result. Once we understand and identify the hidden laws of this seemingly random “synchronicity,” we are left with a remarkable blueprint of how best to lead our lives in this uncertain and confusing world.

Synchronicity or meaningful coincidence is the most conscious aspect of the underlying web of reality that connects everyone and everything. As humanity's consciousness expands and new paradigms and worldviews are born, synchronicity is more evident in mass events like, 9-11, the shootings at Sandy Hook and Aurora, the explosions at the Boston Marathon, in extreme weather phenomena. It occurs in alien encounters, often is intertwined with paranormal experiences, and may act as an interface between life and death. It happens frequently when our lives are in transition. Once you're aware that coincidences are meaningful, you're on the synchronicity highway, traveling through a kind of quantum weirdness that features astounding odds, tricksters, messengers from the unknown, the unseen, the seemingly miraculous. When you're on the synchronicity highway, you're exactly where you should be.

Quantum Universe And Synchronicity

Pages 266. Quantum physics proposes, on a scientific basis, the concept of a universe in which each particle is connected with all the others through a bond that surpasses every law of classical physics. In this context, all things converge in a great project of cosmic evolution, the "Unus mundus". Today many well-known scientists subscribe to the "anthropic theory", according to which the universe was not born by chance, but was created exactly with the characteristics it possesses to host intelligent life. The latest scientific discoveries deny materialism and impose a more spiritual vision of the universe in which we live. The synchronicity theory was developed with rigorous methodologies by the famous psychologist Carl Jung. During a long collaboration Jung obtained the support and encouragement of a valuable fellow student, the physicist Wolfgang Pauli who was a Nobel Prize in 1945. Synchronicity represents a very valid starting point for investigating the profound reasons for some events that normally appear random. In fact, synchronicities are manifested in the life of each of us through strange coincidences, dreams, intuitions and presentiments, to confirm that nothing comes from chance. The synchronicities described by Jung are chains of apparently random episodes, which nevertheless contain a "numinous" message. Although the theory of synchronicity is credited to the field of metaphysics, the most current discoveries of quantum physics have demonstrated its scientific plausibility. Each event, like the series of epidemics that dot the last few decades, leaves the context of randomness and takes on a well-defined meaning in the history of the human species. Probably the theory of synchronicity is the most suitable to answer this question: does the coronavirus represent an event due to chance, or does it contain a significance that needs to be revealed? In the final part this book deals with the numerous cases of epidemics that have developed in recent years (Sars, Mers, Hiv, Ebola, Covid-19 etc.) and places them in the context of a global synchronicity that is guiding humanity towards highest level of complexity and awareness.

C. G. Jung had a lifelong interest in the paranormal that culminated in his influential theory of synchronicity. Combining extracts taken from the Collected Works; letters; the autobiographical Memories, Dreams, Reflections; and transcripts of seminars, Jung on Synchronicity and the Paranormal sets out clearly his seminal contribution to our understanding of this controversial area. In his introduction, Roderick Main discusses Jung's encounters with and observations of the paranormal, the influences that contributed to his theory of synchronicity, and the central ideas of the theory itself. The selections include Jung's writings on mediumistic trance phenomena, spirits and hauntings, anomalous events in the development and practice of analytical psychology, and the divinatory techniques of astrology and the I Ching. The book also features Jung's most lucid account of his theory in the form of his short essay "On Synchronicity," and a number of Jung's less-known writings on parapsychology, his astrological experiment, and the relationship between mind and body. Jung on Synchronicity and the Paranormal addresses subjects that were fundamental to Jung's personal and professional development. Probing deeply into the theory of synchronicity, Roderick Main clarifies issues that have long been a source of confusion to Jung's readers.

Synchronicity: the uncanny and fortuitous timing of events that seems to go beyond pure chance. Synchronicity can act as a guide along our life path, helping us through challenging times and nudging us toward self-fulfillment.Psychologist Chris Mackey offers astounding case studies, alongside a lucid explanation of the brain science underlying synchronicity and many practical suggestions for working with it, from journaling and symbol analysis to dream interpretation and ideas for accessing flow. He is convinced that synchronicity has a crucial role to play in helping us "go within" and tap intoour intuitive and spiritual selves. This book is also a passionate call for a new, more optimistic "positive psychiatry" that embraces our transcendent experiences. A 21st-century take on Jung's legacy, this exciting new approach to synchronicity will appeal to anyone interested in the opportunities for personal development offered by altered states of consciousness. Most people have a story to tell about a remarkable coincidence that in some instances changed the course of their lives. These uncanny occurrences have been variously interpreted as evidence of divine influence, fate, or the collective unconscious. Less common are explanations that explore the social situations and personal preoccupations of the individuals who place the most weight on coincidences. Drawing on a variety of coincidence stories, renowned anthropologist Michael Jackson builds a case for seeing them as allegories of separation and loss—revealing the hope of repairing sundered lives, reconnecting estranged friends, reuniting distant kin, closing the gap between people and their gods, and achieving a sense of emotional and social connectedness with others in a fragmented world.
