I have come to realize that its time to speak up and break the cycle of silence that has been living within my soul. The unique words, phrases, expressions, thoughts, feelings of joy and sadness, the art that has been living silently within me have to come out and reach the world through revealing the poet in me. Piece Of Poetry

We were introduced to poetry right from a young age. We were made to sing and recite poetry in groups. The rhyming words somehow would bring a sense of enjoyment, and they won’t leave our mind even with the passing days. Poetry holds magic. A magic to change the moment and bring out the joyous hidden self. We all in some point or another had come across a poetry that either taught us the unlearned or brought back a memory or just a smile. Piece of poetry is an effort to share some thoughts through prose. Each poetry was written with a story in mind, willing to be talked about. The thoughts that didn’t need sophisticated words, but they were craving for rhythm. The idea was to point out some of the feelings and emotions that were desperate to be shared. Some untold words, a certain perspective that was always doubted by self and others. Piece of poetry is an honest attempt to format these feelings into a song, hoping that it would stick with everyone who decided to read it.

My Poetry is Me is more than a book of poems. It's a journey through joy and sorrow, loss and new beginnings. Join author Karen Ann Gill on this voyage as she learns to cope with the loss of her stepmother in Going Home and Damn that Killer. Dream with her about her daughter's wedding day in Remembering Yesterday. And think about what you will leave behind if today is your last day, as you read Who's Gonna Take Over. This book, and the words within, is what Karen will leave behind, so that when that day comes, people will know that she lived. From the earliest age the sounds of words drew her, and when old enough to follow them on paper she fell in love. Over the years I have had the pleasure of watching this love affair. Now you can too. Brook Johnson, the author's father Karen Ann Gill lives in Mansfield, Missouri with her husband and two children. She works in a small local restaurant. My Poetry is Me is just the beginning of her journey...there is much more to come. Publisher's Website: http: //

My conception towards life has been a fight since I was a child until now as an adult. Not born into money, or wealth as they say. I have tried to do a good job making a living for myself. Though I am an artist (painter), as you know, artists starve. I am a songwriter but that too in today's age is very hard to accomplish. I have been a poetry writer since I was a child and I have been writing since the first grade. My dream is to have a gallery to teach art, songwriting, and poetry writing. I started a business called Chances of America. It is a non-profit for mental health. Please donate to Chances of America. We as United States citizens have to stick together with our family as well as our country. We, as humans, love our freedom.
