From the mind of Asaf Rubina, the author of Tales of Movie Theater Pool and the Summer Kitchen, comes a new novel shaped by mental musings and self-reflection of the same memorable characters. The diverse cast is at it again, with the same bad habits and in need of rest as ever before, holding a thousand truths from one another. Angela is experiencing frustration with her circle of sisters until she finds her own haven at the edge of town, and Chuck continues to be the same brute persona as if hes been cast in amber. But all is thrown into shambles when it is discovered that Pam is missing, and the company has a hard time coping with the disappearance of their most influential player. As each night grows darker and the days grow longer, it becomes more and more difficult to discern the facts from fiction. Are things really what they appear to be? Featuring graphic prose and sadistic storytelling, Rubina brings his beloved characters to life as never before.

Despite recent progress in reading achievement among children in primary grades, many children are not moving beyond basic decoding skills to fluency and comprehension as they go on to higher grades. To address this problem, many policymakers suggest that reading coaches-master teachers who offer ongoing on-site instructional support for teachers-can improve teachers' practice and students' literacy skills. RAND researchers evaluated the middle school reading coach program in Florida to answer these questions: How is the program being implemented by the state, districts, schools, and individual coaches? What is the impact of coaching on teachers' practice and students' achievement in reading and mathematics? What features of reading coach models and practices are associated with better outcomes?

I have always been under the impression that children were only removed from their families when in severe and life threatening abusive situations. Never did I think for a moment that the very people who the public put their trust in are actually guilty of gross negligence and outrageous behavior far worse than some of the reasons why children may be removed from their families. To top it all off there are no penalties for DCF workers who remove children without cause. My child was kept from me for absolutely no reason, totally without justification nor my knowledge and tossed in a system for almost 3 years by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) that failed to abide by their own statutes, internal procedures, policies, rules and regulations. During this travesty of justice my child suffered lifelong visible scars and irreparable damage. I was totally oblivious to what could and would take place in my child's life as well as my families and my life. Upon feeling compelled to write this book I am in hope that my story will enlighten other parents that maybe, by no fault of their own, are faced with a similar situation I am in hope that my story will somehow inspire changes to be made in a now very broken system, a system that seems to be totally out of control .
