Are you a spiritual explorer? For over three years, Patricia Gomavitz has channeled pragmatic spiritual concepts through a series of nightly messages from the causal entity Joseph, and in this book, she shares those teachings with you the same way Joseph has given them to her: one word at a time. Each night the message begins: “Good evening. We are here with you.” Joseph then elaborates on a word of their choice-struggle, gratitude, faith, and many more-illuminating the spiritual implications of each word, and how you might apply this knowledge to improve your everyday life. As an entity that exists on the causal plane, Joseph has an exalted vantage point from which to offer advice for life here on the physical plane as well as insights to what lies beyond. Joseph has provided these incredibly rich and complex spiritual teachings in an easily accessible format with straightforward language and an eye toward the practicality of understanding such concepts so that they may be used. If you are searching for teachings that resonate, you likely have a vibrational curiosity that allows for this study, a drive Patricia is familiar with as a life-long spiritual explorer. She knows what it’s like to yearn for teachings that fit like a key in a lock, and she hopes that all who are receptive to the information offered here will find it naturally, and be uplifted. The student discovers the teacher when he is ready to learn, and if you are drawn to this book and its wisdom, Joseph just may be the teacher you seek. From antiquity, the great spiritual masters have—each in their own way—uniquely articulated the one common thread that is found in every sacred text, irrespective of the faith; that we are all a part of something far greater than ourselves, and that when we are open to It, we receive impeccable and comforting guidance and wisdom. In A Nightly Word, Pat Gomavitz proves she is listening and she graciously shares a sacred continuum of thoughts, beliefs, and ideas that will enrich your life and make the world a better place. Words of Wisdom is my appeal to that which is deemed real as metamorphosis will explain how even a small change may cause life to rearrange as a dwarf seen as being small may possess the knowledge that dwarfs us all, giving a complete different view of how someone may observe you or me or are you able to see that which is real is only an actual appeal, but not necessarily an ideal, as you realize once you recognize the nature of existence and comprehend the persistence of all life to continue its general cycle despite how oppositional. This subject matter should be regarded as real, genuine, and authentic as it mirrors my intellect and creativity. Yet by it being real also makes it just as ordinary as truth being an actuality and to experience such becomes a fact of life which I offer to you in a realistic yet investigative manner where any realist will see the actual, weigh it against the ideal, and or abstract and achieve an additional mental means of exchange that converts fidelity into more than just the appearance of fact, but the realism of a lasting supportive realm of responsibility eager to reveal why change takes so long to stay the same. My appointment to change will likely remain the same until everyone gives, receives, and commands due respect that can only be determined as bona fide, a matter of fact, or corporeal in nature, not a concept supposition or sound bite for the political correctness of the moment, but the classic element of that which is true and encompasses the prototypical to reality. Please enjoy our literary visit together as I look forward to our next engagement. Thank you for your consideration of advocacy. Cover Illustration Tony Avacato

The Wisdom Of The Psyche

Author : Ann Belford Ulanov
ISBN : 385630598X
Genre : Religion
File Size : 66.6 MB
Format : PDF
Download : 624
Read : 886

This book promotes a strong argument for a 'feminine' approach to religious discovery: to struggle in the ambiguous gap between the wisdom of the psyche and the wisdom of Scripture, between our interior experience of God and the exterior reality of God. 'The Wisdom of the Psyche' urges clergy to help parishioners bring forth their unconscious feelings and images to join their conscious thoughts. In this way, the church allows its members the space to present themselves fully to God and to be fully present to the human need around them.

Finding Wisdom In East Asian Classics

Author : Wm. Theodore De Bary
ISBN : 9780231527194
Genre : History
File Size : 80.94 MB
Format : PDF, Docs
Download : 298
Read : 1016

Finding Wisdom in East Asian Classics is an essential, all-access guide to the core texts of East Asian civilization and culture. Essays address frequently read, foundational texts in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese, as well as early modern fictional classics and nonfiction works of the seventeenth century. Building strong links between these writings and the critical traditions of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism, this volume shows the vital role of the classics in the shaping of Asian history and in the development of the humanities at large. Wm. Theodore de Bary focuses on texts that have survived for centuries, if not millennia, through avid questioning and contestation. Recognized as perennial reflections on life and society, these works represent diverse historical periods and cultures and include the Analects of Confucius, Mencius, Laozi, Xunxi, the Lotus Sutra, Tang poetry, the Pillow Book, The Tale of Genji, and the writings of Chikamatsu and Kaibara Ekken. Contributors explain the core and most commonly understood aspects of these works and how they operate within their traditions. They trace their reach and reinvention throughout history and their ongoing relevance in modern life. With fresh interpretations of familiar readings, these essays inspire renewed appreciation and examination. In the case of some classics open to multiple interpretations, de Bary chooses two complementary essays from different contributors. Expanding on debates concerning the challenges of teaching classics in the twenty-first century, several pieces speak to the value of Asia in the core curriculum. Indispensable for early scholarship on Asia and the evolution of global civilization, Finding Wisdom in East Asian Classics helps one master the major texts of human thought.
