For hundreds of years, people have turned to the tarot for guidance and focus in seeking answers to life's questions. While millions use the Tarot regularly, much of its history, lore, and symbolism remain obscure--making it difficult for the user to get the deepest possible reading. Also, with hundreds of different decks available, drawing on several major traditions, finding the right deck--the one that the Tarot user will find most sympathetic to their needs, desires, and usage--can become an arduous task. Pictures from the Heart provides hundreds of entries detailing the symbolism of the Tarot, contrasting the various decks on the market, as well as issues, figures, and topics of interest to the Tarot user. For both the experienced and the neophyte user, this tarot dictionary is a long-awaited and essential resource.

"The Journal of an Artist" is a bracingly honest look at a man who chose to honor his authentic path by devoting his life to art. Must one suffer to create art? Is an artist's life only unacknowledged work and unrecognized sacrifice? David's writings, and more importantly - his life and art - say no. Great beauty can come from joy just as easily, if not more so, than from pain and suffering. Born in Italy and emigrated to America as a child, David Palladini's dual cultural background is expressed in the lush creativity of his work. After studying art, photography, and film at New York's Pratt Institute, David's first professional assignment was as a photographer for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. David is know for the intense colors and dramatic delicacy of his work. Having drawn a variety of works, from movie posters to magazine covers, David is also know for his creation of "The Aquarian Tarot" and "The New Palladini Tarot," both published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc. David has worked and lived in The Hamptons (New York State), Jamaica, and France. He currently lives in Newport Beach, California and continues to paint, write, and exhibit his work.

$5 Ebook below is the same as Abstract Realism. Abstract Realism is a book of true paranormal, telepathic, telekinetic, psychic and other-worldly experiences. The experiences are all mine and all true. I have compiled many strange and sometimes frightening experiences into this book as well as some of my art, photographs, poetry, & social ideologies. I've titled this book Abstract Realism because the truth is stranger than fiction and although true, these experiences are so incredible they seem as if they are fiction. I once had a an individual come into the store where I worked and telekinetically bend 2 candles. The book goes into detail about some UFO experiences as well as telepathic & telekinetic experiences. One experience I speak of has to do with controlling the weather. There are credible witnesses. I wanted this book to be fun, enlightening & as unique as its author.

Hundreds of new Tarot decks have been produced in the late twentieth century, many of them based on the structure and images of Arthur Waite and artist Pamela Smith’s Rider-Waite deck (1910). The continuing popularity and influence of the Rider-Waite deck makes it a standard for identifying, categorizing and analyzing contemporary Tarot and other meditation decks. This work of art history analyzes such decks in relation to conventional art styles and movements, including Symbolism, Surrealism, the modernist “grid” and the low/high value hierarchy, and postmodern art movements and concepts such as the dissolution of the modernist value hierarchy, Pattern and Decoration art, and collage. It also examines them in relation to literary concepts, including the novel, utopias, and popular genres. The author’s analysis is supported by numerous illustrations, including the Rider-Waite major arcana cards juxtaposed with examples of their counterparts from more recent decks.
