A gorgeously lyrical journey of discovery across a reimagined Great Britain. Serendipity loves horses. No-one in Lahn Dan has ever seen one, apparently they died out before the Gases - but there are statues of them around the city, paintings and drawings too if you know where to look. And there's the little lost wooden horse Mama gave Serendipity when she was little. When Mama dies, Seren is taken under the wing of Professor Nimbus, a storyteller. Nimbus is kind and knowledgable, but Seren has started to question the Minister's rule and life beyond the high, impenetrable Emm Twenty-Five wall. Hidden among Mama's few possessions was a map which suggests there is life outside of Lahn Dahn, and a place where horses live and roam freely - out beyond the wall and the Minister's grip. So, with the help of a trader boy called Tab and his little dog Mouse, Serendipity heads into the unknown, searching for the beautiful creatures she's always dreamed of. But the Minister is behind them, determined to hunt her down. . .

FANTASY OF A BLIND BOY He is a blind boy from the west coast of America. And he walked upon the road. The rough road like the one in Africa. He smiled like the soldier, toys and the prince of Rome. He is a blind boy from an imaginary city. He came from the state of Lords. He is the blind boy from America. And he battled the mirrors of blindness. He is a soldier and king of the American Island. He is a warrior and ruler. And he is blind upon the brown road of California. He is a blind boy from the west coast of America. And he waved the armours upon his arms like owls, squirrels, the red snakes, cobras and the red sea. It is the king of the dark tomb. It is the red bees. The blind boy laughed to the rumours of a mutter. And he is blind. He is a blind boy from California. He is the prince of a dark city like the wise priest. He is the World greatest king upon the grey road, the murky mountain, the grey pavement and roots. He is a blind boy from the west coast of America. And he is the master of a grey road. He is a king. It is the priest of heavy rings. It is a champion, a superstar, a trap star, a legend and a prince here. And he smiled towards a path of the blind soldier, towards the path of the dead souls and the kings. He is the blind boy upon the city like a grey stool. And it sat on the stool of the Romans. It is crows. The blind boy walked upon the grey road and path.

Clive Staples Lewis, better known as C.S. Lewis, was a respected academic, writer, and speaker. While he might be best known for his works of fantasy, especially the Chronicles of Narnia and Space Trilogy series, he also wrote many books on Christian apologetics, including Mere Christianity, Miracles, and The Problem of Pain. While Lewis was a lecturer at Oxford, he became close friends with fellow lecturer J.R.R. Tolkien, future author of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Both authors participated in an informal writing group, The Inklings, where they critiqued and debated each other’s texts and ideas. His works have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe stands out as his most popular fantasy work. Initially, the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia, though chronologically the second by order, it tells of the adventures of children who magically arrive in a magical country called Narnia. In Narnia, magic comes as no surprise, animals both speak and act, and good strives against evil. Lewis weaves Christian themes throughout the Chronicles of Narnia in a manner that is both accessible and picturesque for readers young and old. Attentive readers will also spot elements of Roman and Greek mythology as well as British and Irish folklore. Renowned C. S. Lewis scholar Kathryn Lindskoog has here expanded and updated her classic study of Lewis's Narnia series originally titled, "The Lion of Judah in Never-Never Land: The Theology of C.S. Lewis Expressed in his fantasies for Children." Now with the addition of a study guide, including a look at the chronological order of the series of the seven books, the "Journey into Narnia" is filled with abundant and fresh new background information that not only puts the series in its context but explains many of the English terms unfamiliar to the American reader. Ms. Lindskoog provides many Biblical parallels which illumine the plot. These concise insights and applications are designed for personal reading pleasure as well as being practical helpers for teachers, parents and ministers. When C. S. Lewis read the first draft of this manuscript, he commented, "You are in the center of the target everywhere. For one thing, you know my work better than anyone else I've met; certainly better than I do myself.... You (alone of the critics I've met) realize the connection or even the unity of all the books-scholarly, fantastic, theological-and make me appear a single author, not a man who impersonates half a dozen authors, which is what I seem to most. This wins really very high marks indeed." This important text of Lewis scholarship has been copied, widely used but never surpassed.
