It is invisible, it is powerful, and it is life sustaining. It is oxygen. We inhale it every day of our lives, and while it makes up only 21 percent of the air we breathe, it is key to our very existence. The more we learn about its healing properties, the more we recognize its tremendous potential as a medical treatment for many serious disorders. Yet few have known about its important therapeutic uses--until now. In his new book, Anti-Inflammatory Oxygen Therapy, best-selling author Dr. Mark Sircus examines the remarkable benefits oxygen therapy offers, from detoxification to treatments for disorders such as arthritis and aging, with a special emphasis on cancer. While the term "oxygen therapy" conjures images of a crucially ill patient lying in a hospital bed with tubes strapped to his face, this book will show that oxygen can offer so much more. Dr. Sircus first looks at the nature of oxygen and its purpose in the body. He then provides an understanding of how inflammation works to destroy the body's tissues over time, and how oxygen can reverse this process. He examines the current treatments that use hyperbaric oxygen chambers as well as newer protocols that employ this vital element. In addition, Dr. Sircus offers a simple, safe, and highly effective fifteen-minute technique that can be used in the privacy of your home so that you can enjoy maximum benefits for a healthier life. If you are wondering why you haven't heard about this "miracle" treatment before, the truth is that oxygen cannot be patented, it is not expensive, and you don't have to be a specialist to use it. Without a tremendous profit behind it, it's become a well-kept secret, but the facts speak for themselves. In this book, you will learn these life-altering facts--information that could change your health for the better.

There are two important aspects to natural cures – specific remedies for ailments and a diet/lifestyle that allow your body to function properly. A health condition, whether long-term or temporary, is a sign that things aren’t working as they should. When this occurs, you need to make changes. This book addresses both points: relieving symptoms as well as identifying and correcting underlying diet and lifestyle habits that contribute to the particular problem. Dr. Blaylock believes that many health conditions can be improved and symptoms alleviated through nutritional intervention. While he often recommends supplements, in many cases, a change of diet will have a dramatic impact on improving your well-being. The book discusses diagnosis and treatment of hundreds of medical conditions for both men and women from digestive issues, skin problems, brain health, eyesight, pain, prostrate disorders o respiratory conditions. Chronic ailments from arthritis, obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes are also explained. In this breakthrough health book by a doctor who is expert in the use of nutrition as therapy, Dr. Blaylock demonstrates how natural cures have two equally important aspects: Specific remedies for what ails you, and a diet and lifestyle that enable your body to function well. A health condition, whether temporary or chronic, is a sign that things aren’t working the way they’re supposed to, and that changes need to be made. This book is designed to help you address both points: relieve symptoms to over 70 health conditions, and identify and correct underlying diet and lifestyle habits that contribute to the problem and can perpetuate it.

The Complementary Therapist S Guide To Conventional Medicine E Book

Author : Clare Stephenson
ISBN : 9780080982557
Genre : Medical
File Size : 65.57 MB
Format : PDF
Download : 725

The Complementary Therapist's Guide to Conventional Medicine is a unique textbook for students and practitioners of complementary medicine, offering a systematic comparative approach to Western and Eastern medicine. Practitioners of complementary medicine increasingly find themselves working alongside conventionally trained doctors and nurses and it is vital for them to develop a core understanding of conventional medical language and philosophy. The book is designed as a guide to understanding conventional medical diagnoses, symptoms and treatments, whilst also encouraging the reader to reflect on and translate how these diagnoses may be interpreted from a more holistic medical perspective. Throughout the text the practitioner/student is encouraged to see that conventional and more holistic interpretations are not necessarily contradictory, but instead are simply two different approaches to interpreting the same truth, that truth being the patient's symptoms. After introductory sections on physiology, pathology and pharmacology, there follow sections devoted to each of the physiological systems of the body. In these, the physiology of each system is explored together with the medical investigation, symptoms and treatments of the important diseases which might affect that system. As each disease is described, the reader is encouraged to consider the corresponding Chinese medical perspective. The textbook concludes with chapters relating specifically to dealing with patients in practice. In particular these focus on warning signs of serious disease, supporting patients on medication and ethical issues which may arise from management of patients which is shared with conventional practitioners. The book also offers a detailed summary of 'Red Flag symptoms' which are those which should be referred for 'Western' medical investigation or emergency medical treatment, and also a guide to how patients can be safely supported in withdrawing from conventional medication, when this is clinically appropriate. Those wishing to use the text for systematic study can make use of the question and problem-solving approach offered on the accompanying CD to which references to self study exercises appear at regular stages throughout the book. This means that the text can be easily adapted to form the basis of a study course in clinical medicine for students of complementary medicine. In addition to the self-testing questions and answers, the supporting CD also contains checklists for revision and full-colour illustrations. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Clare Stephenson is a qualified medical practitioner who worked in hospital medicine, general practice and public health medicine for a number of years before training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture. Over the course of a decade she developed and taught an undergraduate course for students of Chinese medicine on Western medicine and how it relates to TCM. She is particularly committed to encouraging communication and understanding between practitioners of different health disciplines. She currently works as a GP in Oxfordshire.

All scientific claims indicate one result that food and nutrition is an integral part of medicine while medicine can not show its curing potential without a correct and complementary food and nutrition. A blood thinning (anticoagulant) drug when combined with too much blood thinning food consumption can increase the risk of internal bleeding risk and may be fatal. Bergamottin in grapefruit can inhibit the activity of liver enzymes and can cause the accumulation of radio and chemotherapeutic agents in blood which can increase the side effects of such anti-carcinogen treatments. Similarly, fibers which are introduced as healthy food components with their weight loosing and cancer protecting effects may bind some important nutrients which may result in immunodeficiency and chronic fatigue. Omega 3 fatty acids as the healthiest fat options may even be fatal during ventricular tachycardia. I have tried to inform the reader that there is no a completely healthy or a completely harmful food while there are some beneficial foods for some diseases and disorders. I strongly believe that you will be able to enhance the curing potential of the traditional medicine with the correct food, nutrition and life style for each disease which is carefully and scientifically analysed in the book.
