Life is a journey and road is the destination, our value system is our Atlas guide to lifes challenges, and we make our decisions by referring to its maps; our values. Unfortunately a map book drawn by an inexperienced teen-ager is not a reliable guide to steer us through the twists and turns of life, nor is it good for a safe highway driving. We learn our values from our parents and the surroundings. Most of the parents are/were not versed with the science or art of success, so they passed on the values they knew best; especially if they were poor they may have passed a very limited vision of life to you. In their opinion, making a living and raising a family were the ultimate challenge, and they may have lovingly and innocently passed them on to you, there by robbing you of your true potential. True potential of any life is no less than Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart or any other household name. The only difference is Desire, and a proven value system. To succeed in life one needs desire, but most of us dont know where the desires come from or how to create them; for that one needs to understand how our mind functions. No doubt Desire, is the starting point of all major success, desire alone is not enough. We also need Faith, a clear unshakable understanding of how Nature or God grants desire that look totally out of our reach. And last but not the least what role, if any does money play in our success, how do they get rich and what can you do to ensure your riches. What good is all the success, if we cant even be happy, even though success and possessions have very little to do with happiness if at all. To explain all these issues that involves psychology, metaphysics, spirituality, religion and economics in a book that can be read in two to four hours without putting the reader to a sleep was/is a challenge. This book is specially written for young adults who dont have time or interest in reading such topics. Five Minute Millionaire draws on solid facts to inspire the reader; it is written in interesting provocative style, in short articles ranging from one line on a page to a maximum of three pages printed in a large font, yet it inspires every reader. The book comes with optional Instant Motivation, software that lets you see your progress on a daily basis. They say nothing succeeds like success, when you see your money grow, your health improve and your happiness increase, it reinforces your belief in your thinking, your system and your actions; that is the secret to ultimate success in life, realization of ones full potential.

This story poses a profound question - do we accept the hand that fate deals us, or do we battle to make the most of the life we have and help others in the process? Chris Graham, just 38 years old but already facing the advanced stages of Alzheimer's disease, has emphatically chosen the latter. Having lived through a troubled childhood, Chris joined the British Army at a young age and found that the life of a soldier provided him with a much-needed sense of stability. However, his world was turned upside down when, at just 34 years of age, he was diagnosed with a form of early onset dementia. This brutal disease had already claimed the life of his father at 42, along with several other members of his family, and tragically had already confined his brother to a nursing home at the age of 43. In his brother's life, Chris could see a terrifying window into his own near future. Chris, though, is an extraordinary human being. Having been handed nothing less than a death sentence, he decided overnight to stand up to this horrendous disease and do something to leave his mark before it was too late. And so it was that last year, Chris embarked on an awareness-raising 16,000-mile solo cycle around North America, armed only with his bike, a sense of humour, and some good old-fashioned British grit. Leaving his ever-supportive wife Vicky and baby son Dexter at home, he took on huge challenges - for instance, the fear that the ability to discern left from right might leave him at any point while navigating an entire continent - and made it home in time for Christmas, determined to spending however long he has left pouring his love and attention into his family life. Five Minutes of Amazing is both the story of Chris' epic journey and of his fight against the disease increasingly being recognised as the defining disease of our generation. Inspiring and heart-rending in equal measure, it's as important as it is moving, and it will touch everyone who reads it.

I believe the story I'm about to tell has substance. I didn't write this book to belittle anyone or try to bring people down. I'm only stating the truth to my knowledge, giving you a story about a young man from Englewood as he grew up in two different worlds. This book is about friendships, commodities, management, coworkers, employees, employers, and relationships. The book starts off explaining the way errors, clerks, markets, brokers, firms, and pricing; the reason is to explain how the markets were twenty-plus years ago. It goes on to tell the trials and tribulations of a young man trying to fit in, trying to survive. I hope that you can relate to him and his journey. The workplace can be difficult and more difficult when the people you work with create a hostile environment. It can cause people to be stressed, sick, and unhappy. It could also break an individual. All go through situations on his or her job, some a little more than others. If you have been on either side, being the victim or the victimizer, I hope you remember the young man's story and create a better environment in your workplace and life!

Five Minutes Past Midnight The Clear And Present Danger Of Nuclear Weapons Grade Fissile Materials

Author :
ISBN : 9781428994881
Genre :
File Size : 63.90 MB
Format : PDF, Kindle

Growing stockpiles of nuclear weapons grade fissile materials (plutonium and highly enriched uranium) are a "clear and present danger" to international security. Much of this material is uncontrolled and unsecured in the former Soviet Union (FSU). Access to these materials is the primary technical barrier to a nuclear weapons capability since the technology know-how for a bomb making is available in the world scientific community. Strategies to convince proliferators to give up their nuclear ambitions are problematic since those ambitions are a party of largest regional security. There is no national material control and accounting in Russia. No one knows exactly how much fissile materials they have, and if any is missing. A bankrupt atomic energy industry, unpaid employees and little or no security has created a climate in which more and more fissile materials will likely be sold in black markets or diverted to clandestine nuclear weapons programs or transnational terrorist groups. Control over these materials will ultimately rely on the continuous and simultaneous exercise of several measures. While there is little one can do now to stop a determined proliferator, over time international consensus and a strengthened non-proliferation regime will convince proliferators that the costs outweigh the gains.

Out of anxious childhood beginnings, Bronwyn Wilson developed an anxiety disorder. She worried about things that would never happen. She traveled no further than the grocery store. She quit driving over bridges, riding in elevators, entering parking garages, going out at night, and refused to ever board an airplane. As she worried about possible dangers, her world grew smaller while physical ailments grew larger. Doctors couldnt find a biological cause for her hives, dizziness, and intestinal issues. Searching for answers led her to ask, how has this happened? What is anxiety? Where does it come from? Where does it lead? In her memoir Five Minutes For France, Wilson travels through the Mediterranean using the new coping skills she has learned. How does she handle dangling in a gondola high above the town of Funchal, Portugal? How will she cope when she discovers herself sliding down a mile-long road in a wicker basket? What happens when she wanders the streets of Barcelona searching for underwear? Wilsons story offers a message of hope and humor for those suffering from anxiety, or for those who know someone living with it, or for those simply wanting a good read. In addition, she offers eight recovery steps that helped her break free of anxietys grip and led her to physical and emotional healing.

“I remember attending an Open Mic session at a venue located in downtown Detroit. A poet took the stage and before reciting his piece, he said that a poet has five minutes to impact his or her audience either negatively or positively. What a poet said in those five minutes could either create change or maintain the status quo. I went home that evening and asked myself, “What if, after five minutes, I could no longer write poetry for the rest of my life. What would I write in my last five minutes?” The answer? If I Only Had Five Minutes. The Last Will and Testament of a Hip Hop Poet. If I Only Had Five Minutes. The Last Will and Testament of a Hip Hop Poet is a three disc compilation: Life, Love, & Rhymes. In 26 poems I speak his language, swallow her pain, dream my memories, and create our rhythm. In my ‘five minutes’ I fill white space with unlimited possibility. In my ‘five minutes,’ I write now, so others can remember later... What will you do with your five minutes?” Tia DeShay

What will such a city look like when it is only accessed by public transport? Or by walking?' How one can extend the knowledge of compact or dense cities? How fast cities can be? Is increased speed an ideal concept for future cities? Is development of new infrastructure sustainable for cities in future? Can Rotterdam become such a city? Is it possible to upscale Manhattan?
