Healing. Sooner or later, everyone needs it. You may have a physical ailment that needs to be healed. Or a relationship may fail and your emotions need to be healed. David Cumes, M.D., has spent a lifetime investigating the nature of healing. In The Spirit of Healing, you will join him on his journey of discovery. You learn about the notion of the "wounded healer" as he shares his stories about his medical training. You'll learn about the nature of trance for the healer and the person to be healed within shamanic cultures. You'll even read how he experimented with powerful herbs along with Shamans in the mountains of Peru, all to become a better healer. This personal experience is mixed with training in a variety of fields. He unites his findings with concepts from the East such as kundalini, prana, and the chakras. He also blends this with the Western mysticism of the Kabalistic Tree of Life. And yes, he does discover the keys to healing. These are the interrelationship between the healer, the patient, the location (certain areas do have healing powers) and the universal force or energy (similar to kundalini) he calls the "Field." Cumes picks up on seemingly small ideas that, psychologically, can destroy the healing process. He points out that doctors are now health care providers. He writes, "Synonyms given by a thesaurus for the word 'provider,' include: pimp, panderer, runner, agent, hustler, supplier, purveyor, and procurer. This kind of loose and insulting labeling of physicians goes to the very heart of undermining the essence of healing itself. Most of us need the vital healing energy a compassionate healer can give us to help trigger our Inner Healer." This book can be an incredible guide to understanding the healing process. If you are going through such a process now, the information here could help you heal faster. And if you don't need the secrets revealed here now, you will in the future. Prepare for that future by reading this book.

The Healing Gifts Of The Spirit

Author : Agnes Sanford

Genre : Religion
File Size : 36.82 MB
Format : PDF

This practical guide to spiritual healing blends insightful spiritual reflection and the wisdom of hard-won experience in a reliable and inspiring handbook for developing our innate capacity for richer living and richer giving through the healing gifts of the Spirit. Many years ago, Agnes Sanford was cured of acute depression by a minister who believed in the healing power of prayer. Subsequently, she herself became very active and successful in healing others of mental and physical ailments by drawing upon the same resources for inner well-being. In The Healing Gifts of the Spirit, she shares the simple, practicable ways of self-help she discovered, and gives step-by-step advice on how to help others. She discusses not only her own cure but also the gift of healing in general and its growing recognition in the contemporary church. She devotes a chapter to the gift of miracles, and another -- especially interesting -- to the gift of tongues. Her exploration of these topics is richly inspiring, offering readers one of the most detailed, informative discussions of the nature, dynamics, and potential rewards of these unique manifestations of God's presence. At the same time, she demonstrates how anyone can draw upon this healing power for good in the world. As evidence of how these gifts can -- and do -- reveal themselves, the author cites many examples from observation and personal encounters with the healing power of the Spirit.

Healing The Orphan Spirit

Author : Leif Hetland

The Orphan Spirit is rampant in the church and the world today, causing chaos and destruction. There is an answer to this orphan spirit, which is the spirit of adoption and the spirit of Sonship. Father God is waiting for His sons and daughters to understand who they are, and be the co-heirs He created them to be. The most perfect example of a son knowing his true identity, position, and inheritance was Jesus. Jesus left His Heavenly home to be born on the earth as a man, leaving His Father and His godly nature behind. As a child, He was raised for a time in Egypt, having escaped Herod’s mass execution in His earthly home. As he began His ministry, He was continually on the move with His disciples going from town to town and being unwelcome in many places. He had no earthly home, yet He never felt the sting and pain of the orphan spirit because he was constantly with His Father. Jesus said in John 3:13, “No one has ascended to heaven, but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of man who is in heaven.” Jesus, of all men, did not have an orphan spirit, for He never really left the presence of His Father. He was at home wherever He happened to be physically, because He and His Father never lost the connection... not until He took our sins upon the cross. There He partook of the orphan spirit when He cried out in anguish, “Father, why have you forsaken me?” Only then did Jesus experience the pain of the orphan spirit, as He died to bring us back to a relationship with our Father. Now we can come back to the Eden Father created for us and we can live from Heaven, instead of toward Heaven.
