Their physical appearance and sometimes even their disease history become part of who we are. Most of the time, we also copy their attitudes and mannerisms. In the case of Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry, one cannot help but wonder if he also inherited the shooting touch of his father, Dell Curry. An NBA pundit said that great shooters are not made, they are born. The same can be said about Stephen Curry, to some degree. His father, Dell Curry, was always a great shooter. Dell tallied a total of 1,245 three-pointers in an NBA career that spanned a decade and a half. Steph obviously got a lot of his shooting abilities from the genetics that his father passed on to him. However, the younger Curry is not all genetics. He has taken what his father gave him and raised it to a whole new level because of his insane work ethic. In a sense, Steph is a shooter who was born to be made. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry form arguably the most dangerous backcourt in the NBA due to their impressive ability to shoot and make three-pointers. It isn't uncommon to find the Warriors down more than ten points with only a few minutes to go, and yet still win the game behind a three-point shoot out led by the Splash Brothers. With a new four-year, $70 million contract as of the 2014-2015 NBA season, Klay Thompson still has much to prove, with his prime still to come. It will be incredibly exciting to follow the young career of this sharp shooter. Golden State's cast of Stephen Curry, Andrew Bogut, Andre Iguodala, and David Lee led by Steve Kerr will be an exciting team to watch out for in this year's postseason.Read on to learn about Klay Thompson's journey into the league, to his college years at Washington State before ultimately propelling into the NBA. Here is a preview of what is inside this book: Childhood and High School Years College Years at Washington State Klay Thompson's NBA Career Klay's Personal Life Klay Thompson's Impact on Basketball Klay Thompson's Legacy & Future An excerpt from the book: Klay Thompson is a natural born athlete gifted with a shooting stroke reminiscent of Alan Houston, who is coincidentally one of Klay's basketball idols growing up. Though genetics may play a huge role in Klay's ability to play multiple sports, hard work and dedication has clearly molded him into the player he is now and the player he will become. Growing up in Oregon, he was always with his brothers playing in a multitude of leagues, which included baseball and basketball. In addition, you would always find the Thompson brothers playing hoops in their backyard or in the front driveway. Klay lived a great life with his family and was brought up in a nice neighborhood. There was not much tragedy that Klay had to overcome to get to where he is now. He was not living in a bad neighborhood where rival gangs and drugs were rampant. He did not have to worry where his next meal would come from or whether his dad would ever return back into his life. Nevertheless, Klay's journey is inspirational in itself and he deserves to be exactly where he is because of his poise and character.Growing up with father Mychal Thompson, who was a 2-time NBA Champion, had its benefits and perks. For one, Klay was taught valuable lessons in all areas in life as well as life as a pro from his very own dad. Naturally, Klay was as intrigued as he was curious to know what it was like to play professionally; to play with the best of them. This eventually increased his desire to make it to the NBA and to experience what his father did successfully. One milestone at a time, Klay worked his way through high school, even setting a few records along the way. "'I've never been afraid of big moments. I get butterflies. I get nervous and anxious, but I think those are all good signs that I'm ready for the moment'" - Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry was intent in showing the world that he was not just 'lucky' - he wanted to show that he deserved to be playing in the Finals. He deserved to be the MVP. He deserved to win a championship. He deserved to be recognized as one of the greatest players to ever play this game. From humble beginnings, as the 7th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft that went relatively unnoticed, from having the one of worst records in the NBA in his first year as a Warrior, from being cast aside by critics for being always riddled with injury, he was now on the verge of ending all speculation once and for all as to whether his name deserved to be mentioned amongst the NBA greats. All it took was just 12 more minutes, just 1 more quarter of basketball - with the Cleveland Cavalier fans booing him, the critics doubting him and the whole world watching him - he would show them just what he's capable of to succeed under pressure, a skill he has picked up and honed over all the years of his basketball life. After 12 minutes, the world would come to know of the legend of Stephen Curry - being one of the greatest shooter's to ever play the game of basketball. After 12 more minutes, Stephen Curry would be deemed a bonafide superstar. After 12 more minutes, Stephen Curry wouldn't be known as the guy who got 'lucky' to be MVP - he would go from being just another all-star, to being an NBA Champion and solidifying his status as an absolute force to be reckoned with in the league. Interesting, engaging and easy to read, this book is about the rise of Stephen Curry, the Long-Shot, the MVP, and the Champion. Get this book now and enjoy the journey of the greatest super star!

Kyrie Irving has yet to reach the veteran years of his career and is already an accomplished multiple-time NBA All-Star, the recipient of the 2012 Rookie of the Year Award, the 2014 NBA All-Star MVP, and an NBA champion at that. Not only that, but Kyrie went to the NBA Finals at a very young age while most NBA players retire without ever having a chance at an NBA championship. However, he would tell you these accolades are par for the course. As he was told by his father, "Stay hungry and humble." This proverb is what continues to drive Kyrie's relentless work both on and off the court. In a league dominated by incredibly talented point guards, there is no choice for aspiring athletes but to be great. For Kyrie, his buttery-smooth ball handling along with his knack for acrobatic finishes around the rim make him stand out from his contemporaries. Irving's game is crafty and elegant. He keeps opponents guessing from the top of the key right down to the bucket. His powerful dribbling ability and superb ambidexterity allow him to keep defenses on their heels. While the 24-second shot clock is ticking, Irving's collection of moves seems to be endless. He zigzags like a chess master. He keeps defenders on their heels and in anticipation of the inevitable and unavoidable show that Irving's hands can do. Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry born to Dell and Sonya Curry, on the 14th of March, 1988 is an American professional player who plays for the Golden State warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is 6ft 3inches (1.91) tall, weighing 190lb (86kg). Steph Curry, a point guard for the Golden State Warriors, is considered as one of the greatest shooter in NBA history. It is worthy of note that Steph's Dad played in the NBA for 16 years, but having a parent that plays in the NBA does not necessarily guarantee one would become one at some point, as in the case with Marcus Jordan. Most scouts in college dismissed Curry because of his small stature; he had to work really hard to be selected for college basketball. Steph had a great high school career. However, most of the other great NBA players of today had an even better high school career. Most other NBA stars win state for their high school singlehandedly. Steph led his team to state, but never won a state championship. Steph still had a good enough high school career to go to a division one college. His father went to Virginia Tech, so naturally Steph wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and also go to Virginia Tech. However, Virginia Tech did not offer Steph a scholarship. Steph was offered scholarships to Davidson, VCU, and Winthrop. Steph chose to go to Davidson. Curry played college basketball for Davidson, where he was named twice southern conference player of the year, setting the all time scoring record for both Davidson and southern conference. During His sophomore years he set the single-season NCAA record for the three-pointer made. Curry went on to be drafted by the Golden State Warriors during the 2009 NBA Draft. However because of his recurring injuries, during his first three years he was compared to Grant Hill, whose large potential wasn't fully realized due to being constantly injured very early in his career. Like most of the things in Curry's life, he bounced back and improved tremendously setting records on his way to stardom. With his team mates, especially his close friend Klay Thompson "Splash Brother," the devote Christian and family man has led the Golden State Warriors to relevance once again. The Golden state Warriors success in the NBA is not unconnected to Steph Curry's unstoppable form. Steph has been able to lift the Golden States Warriors with his Characteristic 3 pointers time and time over again. His impact on the team cannot be over emphasized. Stephen Curry has won many honors and awards over his basketball career, but the one that stands out to him the most is winning the 2011 NBA Skills Challenge. This contest puts 6 different elite Point Guards against each other in a race with different passing, shooting, and cutting drills. Stephen Curry loved this award because it showed that he was one of the best Point Guards in the NBA. Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry is definitely a phenomenon and a rare breed of athlete that combines family life and sports, a rare thing for athletes to do, perfectly.

Learn the Incredible Story of Basketball Superstar John Wall!Read on your PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet or Kindle device! In John Wall: The Inspiring Story of One of Basketball's Fastest Point Guards, you'll read about the inspirational story of basketball's rising superstar point guard, John Wall. John Wall has emerged as a top ten point guard in the NBA amongst the likes of Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Russell Westbrook, and Rajan Rondo has definitely been a surprise. From once struggling to behave in school and on the basketball court to being benched by his high school basketball coach, John Wall has come a long way since being drafted as the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. The rest is history as the Washington Wizards have emerged to become one of the top teams in the East. This year, the Wizards won their first playoff series in six years, defeating the Chicago Bulls in five games.John Wall is easily one of the most dynamic point guards to play the game of basketball. From flashy crossovers to speedy races down the court on the fastbreak, John Wall has a bright basketball career ahead of him.It will be exciting to see how John Wall and the Wizards do in this year's 2013-2014 NBA playoffs. Here is a preview of what is inside this book: Early Life and Childhood College Years at Kentucky John Wall's NBA Career Wall's Personal Life Wall's Impact on Basketball and Beyond John Wall's Legacy An excerpt from the book:Regardless of where Washington finishes in the playoffs, the 2013-14 season has been impressive both for the team as well as John Wall. The young man who once suffered from maturity issues has developed into a confident point guard; ready to lead the Wizards however far they may go. Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul remains the best point guard in the NBA, and Wall is far from the only young point guard who seeks to take Paul's throne. Derrick Rose has won a MVP. Russell Westbrook has been the second option on a championship team. Stephen Curry has led the Golden State Warriors out of years of irrelevancy, and Damian Lillard has proven to be a monster in the clutch over and over again, drilling a series-clinching three point shot in these 2014 playoffs against the Houston Rockets. Can Wall truly prove himself to be the best point guard of them all? Only he knows. But the Wizards will do their best to provide him with the help he needs. They have tough, savvy veterans like Ariza and Nene, and also high potential prospects from their years in the lottery in Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. But the Wizards remain John Wall's team and will be so for at least the next few years. It will be up to Wall to lead the Wizards to victory as well as develop into an outstanding point guard. With his long track of developing from just another playground athlete to one of the premier young point guards in the NBA, there is little doubt that he can very well accomplish all this and more.
