Eine Besonderheit der vorliegenden Arbeit liegt in der Vermeidung einer eingeschränkten Sichtweise, aufgrund der möglichst umfassenden Darstellung und Diskussion der verschiedenen theoretisch sehr spannenden system-theoretischen Ansätze. Eine weitere Besonderheit der Arbeit liegt im Bestreben eine Brücke zwischen praktischen Managementthematiken im Human Resource Management (HRM) und den schwer zugänglichen Ansätzen der neueren Systemtheorien zu bauen. Hierbei wird der Forderung einer Vielzahl an Arbeiten nach praxisnäherer Forschung entsprochen, indem die Fruchtbarkeit (Viabilität) dieser theoretischen Aussagen direkt anhand der Benchmarking-Ergebnisse untersucht wird. Besondere Stärken der Arbeit liegen in der grundsätzlichen Offenheit gegenüber den verschiedenen systemtheoretischen Ansätzen und den verschieden Lösungen der Personal-Ressorts.
