What Is Love? In this thoughtful, provocative work, Osho—one of the most revolutionary thinkers of our time—challenges us to question what we think we know about love and opens us to the possibility of a love that is natural, fulfilling, and free of possessiveness and jealousy. With his characteristic wit, humor, and understanding, Osho dares us to resist the unhealthy relationship patterns we’ve learned from those around us, and to rediscover the meaning of love for ourselves. “By the time you are ready to explore the world of love, you are filled with so much rubbish about love that there is not much hope for you to be able to find the authentic and discard the false.” By answering the questions that so many lovers face, Osho shares new ways to love that will forever change how you relate to others, including how to: • Love without clinging • Let go of expectations, rules, and demands • Free yourself from the fear of being alone • Be fully present in your relationships • Keep your love fresh and alive • Become a life partner with whom someone could continue to grow and change • Surrender your ego so you can surrender to love Being in Love will inspire you to welcome love into your life anew and experience the joy of being truly alive by sharing it. For many people, the concept of a Divine Spirit is elusive. Many question who or what God is. In today’s chaotic world, it’s no wonder we have questions. The issues we face, from personal to global, disconnect us physically and detach us from our spiritual energy. J.J. Meier has written God in the Mirror to reconnect us to the Universe, to reflect a new vision of God and, ultimately, a new vision of you. Using spiritual concepts from world religions, Dr. Meier examines our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual natures, including our health, our energy level, and our ability to love and forgive—essentially, the layers of our Being. Because your world reflects the state of YOU, you can choose to change your individual state anytime. Life can be full of wonder and delight, joy and forgiveness, love and bliss. God in the Mirror guides you on a journey that starts in your mind, travels through your heart, and settles into your soul. This book is rich with insights that lead to realizations that each of us is a reflection of the God Source; ever connected and never separated.

Laughter Tears Silence

Author : Pragito Dove
ISBN : 1577316843
Genre : Self-Help
File Size : 27.52 MB

Using the principles she teaches, Pragito Dove transformed her fear and grief into joy and inner peace. Her accessible, innovative methods allow you to reap the benefits of meditation in thirty seconds, four minutes, or twenty-four hours, wherever you are and whenever you need a moment of calm. Emphasizing expression, rather than repression, of emotion, these dynamic practices can begin with a variety of movements and sounds, or with silence. Meeting practitioners where they are — in sadness, fear, stress, anger, or joy — the techniques can be done in the midst of work, play, and home life, and either alone or with others. Drawing on such traditions as Sufism and Buddhism and such teachers as the twentieth-century mystics Osho and Gurdjieff, Dove’s synthesis meets the needs of contemporary life with attention to the full range of human experience and reverence for the peace and joy possible in every moment.

Existential Phenomenological Perspectives In Psychology

When I began to study psychology a half century ago, it was defined as "the study of behavior and experience." By the time I completed my doctorate, shortly after the end of World War II, the last two words were fading rapidly. In one of my first graduate classes, a course in statistics, the professor announced on the first day, "Whatever exists, exists in some number." We dutifully wrote that into our notes and did not pause to recognize that thereby all that makes life meaningful was being consigned to oblivion. This bland restructuring-perhaps more accurately, destruction-of the world was typical of its time, 1940. The influence of a narrow scientistic attitude was already spreading throughout the learned disciplines. In the next two decades it would invade and tyrannize the "social sciences," education, and even philosophy. To be sure, quantification is a powerful tool, selectively employed, but too often it has been made into an executioner's axe to deny actuality to all that does not yield to its procrustean demands.

'Radical Acceptance offers us an invitation to embrace ourselves with all our pain, fear and anxieties, and to step lightly yet firmly on the path of understanding and compassion. Please enjoy this nourishing and healing book.' Thich Nhat Hanh In the West, most of us have suffered the fear of not being 'good enough', feeling insecure about our appearance, our sexuality, our intelligence, our spiritual progress or - often most importantly - being worthy of love. When these feelings of insufficiency or self-aversion are strong, we fear abandonment and rejection. Many people have already found the Buddhist perspective on our emotional life to be extremely valuable - and this book will be a major practical contribution to the subject.
