The Book of Jasher, reprinted for the first time in several years and with a new introduction by popular author W. Jeffrey Marsh, offers Bible readers interesting and important insights into the first two thousand years of biblical history. the Book of Jasher follows the biblical accounts in Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua. It reads like the Bible but includes interpolations and elaborations not found in the Bible. In addition, it sheds light on Bible stories from the time of Adam and Eve, the ministry of Enoch, and the account of the great Deluge during the days of Noah to the Tower of Babel, nefarious Nimrod, and faithful Abraham and his descendants. As Moredecai M. Noah wrote in his introduction to the 1840 English translation: Without giving it to the world as a work of Divine inspiration, or assuming the responsibility to say that it is not an inspired book, I have no hesitation in pronouncing it a work of great antiquity and interest, and a work that is entitled, even regarding it as a literary curiosity, to a great circulation among those who take pleasure in studying the scriptures.

There are 13 ancient history books that are mentioned and recommended by the Bible. The Ancient Book of Jasher is the only one of the 13 that still exists. It is referenced in Joshua 10:13; 2 Samuel 1:18; and 2 Timothy 3:8. This volume contains the entire 91 chapters plus a detailed analysis of the supposed discrepancies, cross-referenced historical accounts, and detailed charts for ease of use. As with any history book there are typographical errors in the text but with three consecutive timelines running though the histories it is very easy to arrive at the exact dates of recorded events. It is not surprising that this ancient document confirms the Scripture and the chronology given in the Hebrew version of the Old Testament, once and for all settling the chronology differences between the Hebrew Old Testament and the Greek Septuagint. An Cawdarn Rudh ("The Red Cauldron") is a companion book to "An Carow Gwyn: Sorcery and the Ancient Fayerie Faith," which greatly expands upon the system of sorcerous practice presented within An Carow Gwyn's pages. This work returns to the ancient source that gave rise to An Carow Gwyn's most powerful workings, and makes five additional Key Invocations available to practitioners of this potent system of sorcery. These five venerable invocations, nearly lost to the world during purges of spiritual texts in ancient times, can greatly expand the capabilities of those assaying sorcerous works within the boundaries of Fayerieism. Also found within this book are four other spells and charms drawn from the ancient magical scrolls: a spell for accomplishing the dreaded feat of Red Necromancy, or appealing to the souls of men and women who have died under unfortunate circumstances to become allies in the accomplishment of sorcerous works, a charm that appeals for protection from the Powers of the Underworld, a spell for gaining detailed dream revelations and visions, and an alternative Herb Swaying Charm for gaining aid from the free souls of plants. These substantial Key Invocations, along with the four accompanying spells and charms, are analyzed and explained with historical background where necessary, and come with complete instructions and pronunciation guides for their accomplishment. Practitioners of many traditional sorcerous or magical systems might find this work a valuable resource.

Young S Literal Translation Of The Bible

Young’s Literal Translation of the Bible is, as the name implies, a strictly literal translation of the Hebrew and Greek texts (from the Textus Receptus and Majority Text). Compiled by Robert Young in 1862, he went on to produce a revised version in 1887 based on the Westcott-Hort text which had been completed in 1885. Young died on October 14, 1888, and the publisher released a New Revised Edition in 1898. Young used the present tense in many places where other translations used the past tense- particularly in narratives. The Preface to the Second Edition states: “If a translation gives a present tense when the original gives a past, or a past when it has a present; a perfect for a future, or a future for a perfect; an a for a the, or a the for an a; an imperative for a subjunctive, or a subjunctive for an imperative; a verb for a noun, or a noun for a verb, it is clear that verbal inspiration is as much overlooked as if it had no existence. THE WORD OF GOD IS MADE VOID BY THE TRADITIONS OF MEN. [Emphasis in original.]” For example, the YLT version of Genesis begins as follows: 1. In the beginning of God’s preparing the heavens and the earth--- 2. The earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters, 3. And God saith, ‘Let light be;’ and light is. 4. And God seeth the light that it is good, and God seperateth between the light and the darkness, 5. And God alled to the light ‘Day,’ and to the darkness He hath called ‘Night;’ and there is an evening, and there is a morning---day one. Young's Literal Translation in the 1898 Edition also consistently renders the Hebrew Tetragrammaton (the four Hebrew letters usually transliterated YHWH or JHVH that form a biblical proper name of God) throughout the Old Covenant/Testament as "Jehovah", instead of the traditional practice of "LORD" in small capitals, which was used in editions prior to 1898. Young's usage of English present tense rather than past tense has been supported by scholars ranging from the medieval Jewish rabbi Rashi (who advised, "If you are going to interpret [this passage] in its plain sense, interpret it thus: At the beginning of the creation of heaven and earth, when the earth was (or the earth being) unformed and void . . . God said, ‘Let there be light.’") to Richard Elliott Friedman in his translation of the Five Books in "The Bible with Sources Revealed" (2002). There is a linked Table of Contents for each book and chapter.
